Gangotri is the origin of the River Ganga and the seat of goddess Ganga. The Gangotri Temple was built by a Gorkha Commander in the early years of the 18th century, hovering at a height of 3100m. It is believed that King Bhagirath performed prayer to make Ganga come down to earth and bless humanity in the whole world.

Day 01: Arrival in Haridwar Welcome to Haridwar, the Gateway of Char Dham Yatra! On arrival in Haridwar, check-in at hotel and unwind yourself. Later, in the evening drive to Hari ki Pauri, which means footsteps of Lord Shiva. It is a traditional practice to commence the pilgrimage journey with a holy bath at Har ki Pauri ghat as it is believed that all the sins get washed away when you take a dip in the holy water of Ganga. Attend the evening Ganga Aarti. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Haridwar - Rudraprayag/Guptkashi (approx 205 km) Early morning, check-out of the hotel and drive to Guptkashi in Rudraprayag district. Guptkashi is known for Vishwanath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Ardhanareshvara Temple depicting the half man and half woman form of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. On arrival at Guptkashi in Rudraprayag, check-in at the hotel. Later, proceed for the temple tour. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Uttarkashi - Harsil - Gangotri - Uttarkashi Early morning embark on the journey to the second Dham, Gangotri, around 100 kms from Uttarkashi. En route visit Harsil. Located around 70 kms from Uttarkashi, Harsil is a panoramic village situated on the banks of Bhagirathi River. On arrival at Gangotri, take a holy bath in river Bhagirathi (Ganga is called Bhagirathi at its origin) before proceeding to the Gangotri temple for Darshan and Puja. Drive back to Uttarkashi and stay at hotel in Uttarkashi.

Day 04: Uttarkashi- Rishikesh - Haridwar (approx 190 kms) After breakfast, drive to Rishikesh, around 170 kms from Uttarkashi. Visit the famous iron suspension bridges - Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula, and spend some time at leisure. Later, drive to Haridwar, which is around 20 kms from Rishikesh. Gangotri Yatra comes to an end. We arrange your drop to Haridwar railway station or arrange taxi services from Haridwar to Delhi or other cities if required. We also provide airline tickets to all over India.
