Yamunotri Yatra 2019
Yamunotri is the origin of the River Yamuna and the holy seat of the Goddess Yamuna in Hinduism. It is located at an height of 3235 m and adjacent to Indo-Chinese border.Yamuna is the sister of Yama, the god of death and a holy dip in this river secures a painless death to the devotee. It was constructed by Maharaja Pratap Shah of Tehri Garhwal, which is made of black marble. It opens on the day of Akshay Tritya and closes on the second day after Diwali.
